P715
P715
The signal coming from your turntable cartridge is incredibly small, even more so with moving coil carts compared to most moving magnet varieties. Considering how much amplification is required to bring this voltage to line level, noise floor and the quality of amplification can make or break the performance of a phono preamp.
All products built by Angela-Gilbert Yeung are done by hand, one component at a time. Every connection is done via direct point to point wiring via solder with no extra connectors or joints. This means the absolute lowest resistance and number of points of contact in the circuit that can cause signal loss, pick up noise, or fail bringing you even closer to the music. Learn More
Features
The P715 phono preamplifier looks almost identical to the P710, but this model boasts a few circuit changes to better match your system, such as internally adjustable cartridge loading and a standard rear mounted gain control knob.
This is a standalone unit, requiring the purchase of an outboard G-Series power supply of your choice. This keeps AC, the main source of noise and EMI, away from these sensitive circuits meaning only clean, high capacity DC powers this component allowing for full use of the chassis for best routing and layout.
There are two sets of unbalanced RCA inputs on the rear of the P715, one set for moving magnet cartridges and the other for moving coil, with a standard SE/BAL combo output. The attenuator allows for variable gain from 0-75dB.
