i800 - 50wpc Integrated

The i800 integrated amplifier is the entryway into Gilbert Yeung components, and if your speakers and listening levels are happy within the 50 watts per channel category, this may be the last integrated amplifier you ever buy. 

Each i800 is custom built to order with point to point wiring for the best connection and clearest transmission of signal. The power supply features solid core 14ga copper conductors for high current capability that allows the amplifier to have more power and authority than the 50w rating would suggest.  Also characteristic of all Gilbert Yeung designs, the i800 is thoughtfully braced and dampened throughout with the artful application of silicone, no need for further isolation products as every detail has been considered including the resonance of the chassis panels. Features

Controls are limited and simple, the main focus being only the music and on the sound. The three unbalanced inputs are selectable from the front mechanical switch for the best connection with no logic circuitry or relays in the signal path. A 4 pole, 3 position switch is used for the selector so that each channel has two points of contact, further improving the flow through the signal path and increasing longevity. All audio inputs and outputs are gold plated and will not oxidize, ensuring that your i800 is virtually maintenance free. There is also a rear mounted chassis ground lug, and a signal ground lift to pair quietly with all of your sources.

The sound of the i800 is refined and quick, yet brings life to the music in a way that will keep you planted for hours. 

Also featured on the rear panel is an FCF jack for a plug and play upgrade path with the purchase of a capacitor pack. What is an FCF?

Despite most of the chassis being black, the i800 makes a visual statement in any system. The center blue circle glows a warm blue when powered on and is complemented by a unique laser cut plexiglass front faceplate that breaks up the typical box shape of most audio components. A touch of colorful paint -across the top of the chassis is Angela - Gilbert's signature, bridging art and audio, and pushing the boundaries of what both can be.
