D522 - Tube DAC

The D522 is our best DAC offering, with a user selectable 6SN7 tube output stage, and variable output gain. It comes standard with TOSLINK, SPDIF, and AES/EBU inputs, a USB input is available at request. 

This DAC also sports an external power supply for quieter operation, with separate power switches for the tube and solid state circuits to save tube life.  

Outputs are either single ended, or balanced. A front mounted switch allows you to bypass the internal tube output stage of the DAC for direct solid state. 

As with many of Angela - Gilbert Yeung's creations, the front faceplate of both the DAC and associated power supply is an artful representation of what the device is, and what it does. A stairstep is cut into the acrylic where it transitions into a smooth flowing shape, signifying the conversion of digital signal to analog, while the area behind the gain knob is a visualization of musical signal.
