The C312 brings your music to life and allows you to fine tune your system tonality to your specific preference with 3 separate adjustments to the sound.

Each C312 preamplifier is custom built to order by Angela - Gilbert Yeung with point to point wiring for the best connection and clearest transmission of signal. The power supply and various internal components utilize 14ga solid core copper for unimpeded current and signal flow that you will find in no other preamplifier. Also characteristic of all Gilbert Yeung designs, the C312 and associated power supply is thoughtfully braced and dampened throughout with the artful application of silicone, no need for further isolation products as every detail has been considered including the resonance of the chassis panels. Features

The front faceplate of the C312 is a little bit busier than the C310 with more connection and sound tuning options accentuated by a flowing acrylic faceplate. The center circle glows a warm blue when on, with an emanating red background.

All input selections are done via mechanical switches for the cleanest signal path and longevity of the unit. The two SE/BAL combo inputs are selected via the 4 pole, 3 position switch that utilizes two points of contact for every input. Single ended inputs can be selected by selecting SE, and then the switch for the input of your choosing.

The fun of the C312 is the three adjustment knobs on the front, Warm, Tube S, and SS. This is a more in depth tube simulation circuit with attenuators to fine tune the perfect balance of warmth, tube smoothness, or solid state detail. Each knob is also an associated gain stage, so they will need to be used in tandem, but this allows you to zone in to your musical preferences while matching the gain of any input or output you connect to the C312, making this a very versatile preamplifier that will synergistically fit into any system. It is recommended to start all 3 controls at the 9 o'clock default position, and explore from here, there is no wrong position!

The power supply is separate in all Gilbert Yeung preamplifiers to keep all AC components and associated noise in a separate chassis, away from the sensitive amplification stages of the preamp that can easily pick up EMI and RFI noise. This ensures a deep and quiet noise floor with an abundant supply of DC power for the C312 and your system to perform at its best. Further upgrades to the power supply are capable with the purchase of one, or two SP capacitor pack via the preinstalled rear jacks. What is an SP Capacitor Pack?

The C312 also comes standard with a non IR remote control for the master volume, the preamp does not have to be in direct line to adjust the volume from your listening position. Remote control for the 3 adjustment knobs is available at request.

Note that there is no power switch on this preamplifier, it is designed to be left on at all times. A power switch is something that fails with time, and introduces heating and cooling cycles that affect the performance and longevity of electrical components. The C312 will always be at its best, always ready for you.
