C310 - Selectable Output Capacitor

The C310 preamplifier is the entry model for Gilbert Yeung designs, but it doesn't lack in sound options, performance or functionality. The heart of the preamp is a fully solid state, high slew rate circuit very similar to that in the i802 integrated amplifier, but with the addition of a couple front panel switches to circuits for contouring the sound and presentation to your personal preference. 

Each C310 preamplifier is custom built to order by Angela - Gilbert Yeung with point to point wiring for the best connection and clearest transmission of signal. The power supply and various internal components utilize 14ga solid core copper for unimpeded current and signal flow that you will find in no other preamplifier. Also characteristic of all Gilbert Yeung designs, the C310 and associated power supply is thoughtfully braced and dampened throughout with the artful application of silicone, no need for further isolation products as every detail has been considered including the resonance of the chassis panels. Features

Similar to the i802 integrated amplifier, the controls are simple and straightforward with a volume attenuator and manual input selector. The input selection switch is a mechanical 4 pole, 3 position switch that utilizes two points of contact for each input, further improving the flow through the signal path and increasing overall longevity. 

Where the C310 differs are the switches for specialized capacitor circuits that act as a tube simulator circuit. The X2 and paper in oil selections can be used individually, or together for increased effect. A switch on the far right allows for a bypass of the internal capacitor coupling circuits for direct unaffected sound through the solid state circuit of the preamp. 

The power supply is separate in all Gilbert Yeung preamplifiers to keep all AC components and associated noise in a separate chassis, away from the sensitive amplification stages of the preamp that can easily pick up EMI and RFI noise. This ensures a deep and quiet noise floor with an abundant supply of DC power for the C310 and your system to perform at its best. Further upgrades to the power supply are capable with the purchase of an SP capacitor pack via the preinstalled rear jack. What is an SP Capacitor Pack?

The C310 is also equipped with a front mounted jack and headphone amplifier for personal listening. 2 line level inputs and a balanced / SE combo input come standard, as well as a SE/BAL preamp output.
