Just because something is new doesn't mean that it sounds or performs better. Whether you have a vintage component or a newer piece of Hifi, sometimes due to budget and other constraints of mass production, some corners get cut when it comes to performance. If a component has a good enough base build and circuitry, I can modify it to be better than before.
